Dr. Meg Walch is a Tasmanian artist (based in Lutruwita), educator, and arts advocate with thirty years of experience in the visual arts both in Australia and internationally. Meg exploits the extreme plastic conditions of painterly mediums to explore the plasticity of thought and form. She mixes abstraction and figuration, drawing on pictorial traditions from Europe and South East Asia. Her work and research interests have evolved through living and working in Europe, the United States of America, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tokyo and Tasmania.
Meg’s activities include exhibiting, teaching workshops, public speaking and consulting.
